COdesign urban REalm and dynamic Spaces management for cognitive and socially connected cities

CORESpaces addresses the growing pressure on cities caused by urbanisation, increasing mobility and energy demands, and the urgent need for climate-neutral solutions. By integrating advanced digital tools such as AI-assisted planning and digital twins with strong citizen engagement and inclusive decision-making, the project supports cities in optimising urban space, improving mobility and energy efficiency, and enhancing urban resilience. Through real-world demonstrations in 9 Living Labs and strong cross-sector collaboration, CORESpaces delivers practical, data-driven and human-centric solutions that contribute to more liveable and climate-neutral urban environments in line with EU Green Deal objectives.

• Engage citizens and stakeholders through inclusive co-creation processes to rethink urban space for climate-neutral, liveable cities.
• Develop and enhance innovative digital tools (AI, digital twins, data platforms) for integrated urban space, mobility and energy planning.
• Enable dynamic and fair management of urban space, transport, buildings and energy systems to optimise infrastructure use and reduce emissions.
• Demonstrate COREInnovations in Leading Living Labs under real operational conditions.
• Validate and replicate solutions in Follower Living Labs to support wider uptake across Europe.
• Accelerate the transition to climate-neutral urban spaces by ensuring financial viability, governance readiness, stakeholder alignment and citizen acceptance.
