Education, professional development, and career growth of employees is an important criterion in fulfilling CIKE’s vision, increasing the quality of life in the city by developing its creative potential. The CIKE Capacity Building project aimed to ensure the efficiency and sustainability of the functioning of individual departments of the organization, emphasizing leadership, management, strategic planning, and professional and personal development of employees in non-managerial positions.
- In-depth audit focused on the analysis of the current situation
This three-day workshop focused on the analysis of the current state of the organization. In combination with individual interviews with the Creative Industry Košice team, the mentors identified individual problems and challenges, based on which they prepared 30 recommendations.
- VALUE workshop
During this workshop, we defined the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Practical management of international projects
In the autumn, we addressed the issue of international project management.
- Communication of international projects
We focused on creating a good communication strategy, defining a target audience, and marketing.
During the last workshop, we discussed cooperation between departments at CIKE.
The experts and mentors in the program were Paul Bogen, Sandy Fitzgerald, and Birgitta Persson from the Olivearte Cultural Agency, who have more than 30 years of experience in managing cultural centers, networks, and organizations. Creative Industry Košice has been cooperating with them since 2011.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the travel restrictions taken, the project activities were implemented in the form of interactive online workshops and webinars. Thanks to training in relevant areas, the CIKE team has managed to take the planning, creation, and implementation of international projects to the next level.
The program was supported using public funding by the Slovak Arts Council.
