Austin meets Košice

Open Call

UNESCO Creative Cities Košice and Austin, which are cherishing and supporting the Media Arts and digital artists, are launching an open call for online media arts collaboration. Established and emerging media artists from those two cities are eligible to apply to this two-month artistic co-creation until September 1st, 2022.

Critical questions

The collaborating media artists are invited to reflect on issues, such as:

  • What changes does technology bring to our understanding of moral, social, and political actions?
  • How does it affect the body of action itself, the perception of activity, the horizon of perceived possibilities – what is possible, what is moral, what is desirable, and how are we expected to act, interact, and engage in our lives and lives of our communities, because of technology and by technology?
  • How does this change of behavior powered by technology affect the notion of our communities, of our togetherness, of our humanity?
