Co.designing our cities Conference

It’s not just an ordinary conference. It is the culmination of a two-and-a-half-year experimental project that provides cities and regions with guidance on how to connect the cultural and creative industries with local governments. The Cultural and Creative Spaces and Cities (CCSC) project brought together 10 international partners, including Creative Industry Košice, led by the European network of non-governmental cultural centers Trans Europe Halles. The conference will take place online on February 3 and 4, 2021, via the Zoom platform.

During the first day, participants will listen to inspiring case studies of commoning, as well as thoughts on the future of co-creating public policy from both grassroots, local, regional and European level. The second day will bring with itself a rich offer of workshops, where participants can test out some of the policy co-creation methodologies and lessons that have been developed by the CCSC project partners. The Creative Industry Košice team will lead a workshop called Count’s all in: Mapping for Inclusive Policies. You will find the entire schedule and the registration form here.

The conference is for:

  • professionals from the cultural and the creative industries,
  • policymakers at the local, regional, national, and international level,
  • public administration employees,
  • anyone working at the intersection between culture, creativity, innovation, urbanism, and social impact.
